Do you accept checks as payment?

Due to several bad experiences, we do not accept checks as payment at this time. We accept cash, wire, Zelle, CashApp, and Venmo.

Unfortunately, due to several unwarranted chargebacks, costing us considerable money and wasted time, we no longer accept credit cards as payment for purchases. We accept cash, wire, Zelle, CashApp, and Venmo.

What do the different terms on your website mean exactly?

Great question. Several important ones would be:

Timed Auction – This means the lots are posted and at specific preset times, each lot will close unless a last minute bid comes in to extend the closing time.

Online Only Auction – This is an auction at which bidders are not allowed to be onsite at our yard during the bidding and that all bids (live or timed) must be made through the auction platform (as opposed to in-person bidding).

Live Bidding Auction – This is an auction in which prebidding is available via the online platform, but there will be a live auctioneer “calling the sale” instead of a timed closing. The auctioneer asks for and receives real-time bids (whether in-person or via online platform) and at his/her discretion, will close the bidding on the lot currently being offered and move on to the next.

What is a “Buyers’ Premium”?

Accepted Answer

This is an added charge to each bidder on each lot won at the auction. For example if the “hammer price” of a lot was $100 and there is a 15% Buyers’ Premium (BP) in effect, the invoice would show $115 plus applicable sales tax. Please factor the BP into your bidding.
